Mirror chest
Introduction
The Mirror Chest is a chest that contains mirrors of one or more colors and/or a Portal Gun. These mirrors can be used in Mirror Support, Filtering Sphere, and Reflecting Sphere.
The Mirror Chest must always contain at least one item (either a mirror of any color, or a Portal Gun). It is not possible to remove the last item from the chest's configuration.
How to place a Mirror Chest
- Open Lasers-Enigma main shortcut bar by typing the
/laserscommand. - Aim for the block on which you want to place the component. This can be on the floor, ceiling, or wall. Then right-click with the "place component" button in hand.
- Click the "Mirror Chest" item.
- Select the initial color.
- Now that the component is placed, the Mirror Chest edition shortcut bar will open and you will be able to edit the component.
How to edit a Mirror Chest
If the Mirror Chest edition shortcut bar is not open already, simply right-click on the Mirror Chest to open it.
Via Shortcut Bar
From the Mirror Chest edition shortcut bar you have several possibilities:
- Open the Content Editor to configure the mirrors and portal gun inside the chest.
- Open the Component configuration menu for additional options.
Via Content Editor menu
The Content Editor is a paginated menu that lets you configure every item inside the chest:
- Mirrors: For each available color (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Cyan, White, Black), you can set the quantity of mirrors (0–99) using increase/decrease buttons.
- Portal Gun: Toggle the Portal Gun on or off. When enabled, the chest will contain one Portal Gun that the player can pick up.
The menu is paginated across 2 pages (4 colors per page).
Minimum content rule: The chest must always contain at least one item. You cannot remove the last mirror color if no Portal Gun is enabled, and you cannot disable the Portal Gun if no mirror colors remain.
Via Component Configuration menu
In the component configuration menu, you will have access to what we summed up before in the shortcut bar.
State saving
Only admin actions will be saved once you leave the area of the enigma.
Interactions
Player interaction
The player can open the chest and take out the mirrors and/or the Portal Gun. When the player leaves the area, the chest is re-filled with its configured contents and all taken items are removed from the player's inventory.
Other components interactions
The Mirror Chest has no direct interactions with other components.
Portal Gun
The Portal Gun is a special item obtained from the Mirror Chest. When the Portal Gun is enabled in the chest's configuration, it will appear inside the chest for players to pick up.
See the Portal Gun concept page for full details on how it works.
