Area creation and deletion

Introduction​

In Lasers-Enigma, the core gameplay revolves around the concept of an area. An area is defined as a 3D cuboid that confines all components; nothing can exist outside boundaries.

Key points: * Non-overlapping: Two areas cannot overlap. * Deletion Impact: Deleting a puzzle area will remove all components contained within it.

This page provides detailed instructions on how to create a new puzzle area or delete an existing one.

How to Create an Area​

  1. Open the Main Shortcut Bar:
  2. Select the First Corner:
    • Right-click on the block that forms one corner of the intended area.
    • The "Create area" option will appear in your shortcut bar, prompting you to select the opposite corner.
  3. Define the Opposite Corner:
    • Right-click on the block that forms the opposite corner of the area.
    • The area will be created, and its boundaries will be highlighted with particles for clear visualisation.

How to Delete an Area​

  1. Open the Main Shortcut Bar:
  2. Position Yourself:
    • Ensure you are inside the area you wish to delete.
  3. Delete the Area:
    • Right-click the "Delete area" item in your shortcut bar.
    • A confirmation menu will appear. Click the green confirmation item to permanently delete the puzzle area along with all associated components and configurations.
