Gravitational sphere

Introduction

The Gravitational sphere can attract or repulse light flow. This means it can bend light! You can enlarge or reduce the radius of its effects. You can also choose between attraction and repulsion mod.

How to Place a Gravitational sphere

  1. Open Lasers-Enigma main shortcut bar by typing the /lasers command.
  2. Aim for the block where you want to place the component. This can be on the floor, ceiling, or wall. Then right-click with the "Place component" button in hand.
  3. Once placed, the Gravitational sphere edition shortcut bar will open, allowing you to edit the component.

How to Edit a Gravitational sphere

If the Gravitational sphere edition shortcut bar is not open already, simply right-click on the component to open it.

Via Shortcut bar

From the Gravitational Sphere edition shortcut bar, you can:

  • Enlarge the size of the Gravitational sphere's effect area.
  • Reduce the size of the Gravitational sphere's effect area.
  • Change the mod, switching between attraction and repulsion.
  • Open the Component configuration for more options.

Via Component configuration menu

In the Component configuration menu, you will have access to all features summarized above as well as:

State saving

Only admin actions will be saved once you leave the puzzle area. If a player leaves an area after modifying a Gravitational sphere, those changes will be reset.

Interactions

Player interaction

Players can resize the attraction/repulsion area of the Gravitational sphere depending on the area configuration.

Laser interaction

Lasers will have their trajectories altered according to the Gravitational sphere's configuration, either being repulsed or attracted. The size of the area of effect will also influence the trajectory changes.

Other components interactions

The Gravitational sphere has no direct interactions with other components. However, the laser redirected by the concentrator interacts with various components. For a summary of these interactions, visit the lasers interaction page.

When a laser touches another component (e.g. a Concentrator), it will reset the laser's inertia. This means that if a laser is stuck in the attraction zone of a Gravitational sphere, touching another component can free it from that zone.
