2026-06-29 โ€” Bonus and access conditions

Bonus placementโ€‹

Decision:

  • Bonus are in a second portal behind each chapter. This portal contains a hub with the bonuses related to this chapter.
  • This decision applies to solo campaign but not to duo campaign yet (no bonuses levels in duo yet)
  • Bonus hub floor path is made of yellow concrete. bZx will create a room template dedicated to those duo bonus hub

Bonus level contentโ€‹

Decision:

  • Bonus levels must be fun, it can be very hard, but it should not introduce complex mechanics that were not already seen in the chapter.
  • If mechanics are introduced, it must not be an "active" mechanics. The mechanic should not be the core of the level. In other words, the player does not have to understand the mechanic to win.
  • Mechanics that are never seen in any chapter can be introduced.

Chapter 1 bonusโ€‹

Decision:

  • Too much piston will go in the chapter 1 bonuses hub. Other chapters will stay
  • 2 other levels are still to make or to pick in the next chapters (so every chapter except the chapters 1 and 2).

Access to next chapterโ€‹

Decision:

  • Chapter 2 is accessible when 11 levels are solved in the chapter 1
  • Chapter 3 is accessible when 11 levels are solved in the chapter 2

The general rule is that the next chapter is accessible only if:

  • All mechanics are introduced and consolidated by at least 1 additional level solving

Access to bonus hubโ€‹

Decision:

  • Bonus hub of a given chapter is accessible only if every levels are solved and if every bonus are obtain in the standard chapter hub

Actionsโ€‹

  • bZx : create a room template dedicated to those solo bonus hub.
  • Yokatox : continue working on chapters reorganization.
  • Loumardes : Try to create levels in the empty portals of chapters 1 and 2.
